Citibank - Very Bad service
IF the money is being sent to the state, contact your local Attorney General for a list of unclaimed money. Follow the process and you should get your money.
Banks typically don't escheat funds until an account has been dormant for years.
However, companies can get fined for holding on to funds and may send them out quicker. At the end of the day, this is your fault for leaving money sitting in account and doing nothing with it.

The banks absolutely mail your account details. Otherwise, how did you get a physical card?

I have had the same experience. it's part of their KYC program to avoid dealing with money laundering.
but they're not limiting the process, and they're harassing all their business customers. goodbye Citibank.

Citibank is absolutely a ship of fools. I agree with your comments.
You can call and speak to customer service and get one answer, then come to the branch for the transaction you discussed...and get a completely different answer. Ask for the supervisor and yet again another answer.
Are they all untrained or just stupid? We are taking our account elsewhere - where people actually think on the job.
