Worst Experiance Ever With A Card Company!!!

So almost 2 years ago, I opened a Best Buy Visa Citibank card. I used it for one main purchase and a few emergencies. I regularly made my payments on time. After about 6 months however, I stopped getting a bill through email and regular mail. this happened for 2-3 months. I then finally received a bill through the mail 3 DAYS AFTER the due date. Not wanting to fall behind, I paid, no questions asked. After that however, they would constantly switch between email and postal mail when it came to getting my bills. Plus, they always arrived AFTER the due date. I paid a few of them, but then started to realize that each month my amount due kept fluctuating, sometimes being lower, sometimes higher. I haven't used the card in over a year, but this fluctuation continue, higher one month, lower another and never coming before the due date. Then i stopped getting bills all together. being so frustrated, i just stopped paying them. Then, a week ago I get a notice saying that they are willing to offer a a settlement where I only pay half of the total amount due over 3 installments. I'm willing to do this so i call them. They then proceed to tell me that the first payment is in 3 days. I told them i don't get paid again until 3 after that, to which her exact words were "Beyond that there is nothing we can do." Youre kidding me right??? I just explained to them how my bill was fluctuating irregularly, i wasnt receiving bills on time or even at all, but that's all youre able to do??? Bravo, citibank. Bravo you *** POS's.

Canceled credit card

DO NOT BANK or HOLD A CREDIT CARD FROM CITI BANK. This is my story as to why. I have been a card holder since 1990 without issue. I received a letter on Friday, July 17, 2017 explaining they have decided to end my account with no further explanation. I called the customer service department and was told they did NOT have to give me an explanation and I could write a letter to the president. They would not give me his name nor would they give me his address. I went on line and found both. I contacted the phone number of 212-559-**** and asked for the president and/or his assistant and was told that their telephone numbers are private. That's right private. She then transferred me to the executive branch customer service. Amy a customer service rep/account analyst got on the phone. I explained to her the above and she told me that she could not give me any reason and to look at the terms and conditions of my card. It explains that they could discontinue my account at any time without reason and it is their right within the law. I pushed back and she just kept repeating the same thing. I asked if I would get an actual answer if I wrote to the president and she said she would get my letter and it would say the same thing that is their right within the terms and conditions. I asked what department handles discontinuing credit card and she said they had several. I asked which one discontinued my card and she said it is within their right as it is within their terms and conditions and I should read them. I have never had to deal with anything like this and for the life of me cannot understand why they can not offer an explanation. Be careful of who you bank with and hold credit cards with because in the end it might just effect your credit.

Refusing to Work with POA

I am POA on my Aunt's accounts. My name is on her checks and I sign them. Still, I cannot move her funds into her checking to pay her Nursing Home bill. I had to overnight the 5th POA to NY. Two weeks later the second month bill bounces. They are going to bleed her account dry with charges while refusing to transfer the funds. They claim they want to send her a letter to authorize the fund transfer but they do not have her address and they won't take it from me. They have need sending statements to the same Retirement Home for 18 years. I gave them her phone number, but they insist on calling the dead number that comes up in caller ID. She does not have a direct line. This could go on for years. I filed a complaint with the state of CA and left a message with her State Senator. This is criminal theft and it could get elderly evicted from some homes. I could get sued by the Retirement and then I have to sue Citibank and them my aunt is completely out of funds. Is that their plan for elderly customers?

Citibank business debt card

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Tonight I have spoken with India,Gatemala ,Colombia ,and I opened my account in Florida why should I speak to people that I cant even understand their english ,what is it you pay these people peanuts,so as its logical I would like to speak to an agent in the USA, thats number one, then after on hour of me paying the calls(because I live abroad ,I get a supervisor to try explain to me why my business debt card does not go through,a payment of 150dollars to paypal, the supervisor says the card is cleared and that it must be the paypal system rejecting it,next step I use another debt card from another bank and it immeaditely goes through, so its not paypals fault, its citibank ,that either has a bunch of bad unprofessional ,people working their, and dont know a *** thing about banking or customer service,or your just dont care about your customers at all ,you only give them attention when they come and open an account with you, then let them figure out how to resolve their own problems ,which its better for you,you get to play and keep our money in the bank ,very bad service ,for us ,customers great business for you, thanks for wasting my time and money ,Luis Soria

Warning on CitiBank Credit Cards

Just a warning about Citibank, they will not protect you. I fell victim to internet fraud on a "free" product. I called and verbally cancelled the offer. Then 30 days later, I was billed again with no product shipped to me, out almost $200. After contacting Citibank, they went with the vendor, and accepted their version. Oh yea, the 2% cash back is there, but if you have a balance with them, prepare to pay the highest rates in the market. And when I disputed the account and cancelled the card, they would not give the cash back that I had earned. This is a slim shady company, don't do business with them.

Careless Dispute department

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I got several credit card charges from unfair merchant and disputed it. The department opened the case and silently closed investigations. I found that in two weeks later after they closed. On my request they didn't provide any information and just saying they have nothing to do I have to prove that transactions are not authorized. They discarded to provide any proofs to me about that transactions and everything seems they ok if merchants cheating on their clients. So in fact I lost $400+ and a lot of time trying to reach dispute department and communicating to them with no use. Very very *** and awful situation. Citi Bank is careless and unreliable. Definitely don't recommend from perspective of safety.

Louzy online log in practice

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I accessed my account via secure VPN server. Next time I tried to access my account the web site refused to allow me to log in, instead it insisted that I receive a phone call w/ a validation code that I could then enter into the web-site. I had to call Customer Svce and be on hold for several minutes and talk to Tim who had only one solution - have the automated service call me back w/ the code. He said that is the ONLY way. What if a customer is unable to receive a phone call because of being in a foreign country? What then? Why can't Citibank grow up and join the big boys who know how to utilize email for emailing these codes? This is a very inconvenient and possibly dangerous practice by an arrogant bank. Let's say you are in a country where a phone call from a US based company can land you in a jail or worse? Citibank sure protects it's interests and the customer be damned, or even killed for all they care. Very sad practice. Needles to say, as soon as I get done dealing w/ Citibank I will NEVER do business with them and I am telling everyone I can about this experience.

Citibank - Debit Card Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Citibank does not care about their clients and causes ill will and harm on them. It is unbelievable how they treat clients who have been long time members AND they do not care.. Note, over 12 years. Not once, but twice, they deactivated my debit card with NO warning, bc they said i never activated a new chip card i was supposively to have received. I never received any new card from them. The first time this happened a few weeks ago, it was Embarrassing. it happened in front of employees and i was stranded without food AND gas and no cash at my job. When i called citibank, they told me about the card and at first they told me nothing they can do, but finally, they reactivated my deactivated card. And i was no longer stranded. well this evening it happens again..and i am stranded all weekend until next tuesday they said, no card, no access to my bank accounts and they said they cannot reactivate, that i will only have access with new card once they send it, which i do not trust i will even receive. They also told me both times, they cannot send a new card (which i did not request) until current card is deactivated?!? (And they just deactivated it with no notice prior to a holiday AND weekend.) This entire process is unheard of and absurd and greatly hurts a client!? The normal And usual method is when a bank sends a card, new card does not work until you call number to activate and as soon as new card is activated, that is when old card automatically deactivates. They said to me they do not do that due to security?!?! (By the way, my current card expires 2018.) So they expect their customers to have no card or account access for a week , with NO notice!! AND then this will cause bills that are all set up automatically with debit card to not go through and will then be facing late fees.. They clearly want to personally injure their clients financially instead of look out for them. I asked for a supervisor, and even thr supervisor said he couldnt help, his hands are tied and he said he had no boss above him who could help. After 12 years, I will officially be changing banks as citibank screws their clients over for no good reason.

Citibank stole my money, cancelled my accounts, and lied about it!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I found an unauthorized charge on my account for something called "other debit". I tried to get more information on it from Citibank and they couldn't tell me what it was; just that it was done by their bank.

I told them if they didn't know what it was, i wanted my money back. They asked me to send an email to them via my online account confirming this. I did. Then, 2 days later, i get a note that i have a reply.

Then i get another note a few hours later. I checked the first note. It asked for more details about the transaction. The second note says that they attempted to reach me and they were locking all my accounts, and disabling my ATM cards, becuase they couldn't reach me!!

And, liars and frauds that they are, they didn't bother calling; any attempt at "Contact" was an f*ing joke. There were no texts, no missed calls, nothing on my phone.

Will be finding another bank this week. I've put up with their *** for too long.
